Drag Drive Repeat hosts Short Circuit 2026
George Ray’s Wildcat Dragstrip
November 6-7, 2026
A weekend drag and drive style event with racing on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, with 80-100 mile driving in between. Two Lane drives in the Mississippi River Delta.
Breakfast catered at Route Stop
$150 for Driver and 1 Copilot.
Ticket covers Entry and Tech Card for Driver and racecar, plus Entry for 1 Copilot for both days, Event Decal Pack with additional event decal for copilot.
**Tickets are Non-Refundable or Transferrable** Refunds only if event is cancelled.
Short Circuit Classes:
All Classes are 660 ft (1/8 mile)
Street Tires welcome in all classes
Racers are able to change classes anytime BEFORE submitting timeslips.

**6.36 (or slower) ET – Class is about consistency, no matter your ET.
Class Standings determined by Margin of Difference in Driver’s Quickest and Slowest Time Slips during entire event. Example: Day 1 ET: 8.286, Day 2 ET: 8.555
Quickest ET: 8.286 – Slowest ET: 8.555 = Difference of 0.269
Any Tire, Any Event Legal Car
**Tailgate by Cornerstone Performance Transmissions
– vehicle with bed and tailgate only (El Camino/Ranchos allowed)
-no SUVs or wagons -back half allowed -2wd any tire -4wd 10.5 tire max width
-any single power adder -any fuel – radial or slick only
Class Winners Awarded: Quickest Average and Most Consistent
**All Motor (660 ft) by US Motorworks
Engines must run with no Power Adder (nitrous, supercharger, turbos, compressed air)

Engines must be equipped with Power Adder (nitrous, supercharger, turbos, compressed air)
**Stick Shift (660 ft)
Must use manual H-Pattern transmission, Shifts must be made by the driver with a mechanical lever, no air shifters allowed. Clutch must be activated by a pedal by the driver. Lenco-type planetary transmissions prohibited in class.
**6.50 Index (660 ft) by LS Customz
No passes quicker than 6.50 to be submitted. Racer with Average ET Closest to 6.5000 will win.
Back to the Streets inspired 32 Car Heads-Up Eliminations
Cars are split into 3 classes - OG Small Tire (8 cars), Stick Shift (8 cars) and 6.50 Index (16 cars).
“Winners Race Winners”: Racers with Two Wins on Friday night will go heads up on Saturday, Elimination Style.
The two Quickest Losers from each class will run First Round on Saturday for a Best Loser trophy.
Racers without 2 wins will be able to make fun run style passes on Saturday during the traditional drag and drive open run.
Classes: 10 car max to allow for 2 alternates (OG Small Tire, Stick Shift), 20 car max for 6.50 Index (allow for 4 alternates).
Street Rules: Headlights and Taillights, current tags, registration and insurance
**OG Small Tire Rules:
275/60-15 or 28×10.5 (non-W) or any 17+” tire
No Tube Chassis
All Glass aside from rear window for cage in trucks
2 covered seats
All Steel/oem aside from hood/deck/bumpers
**Stick Shift:
H-Pattern shifter only
Leg Activated, Manual Clutch Pedal
**6.50 Index:
Track timing system will be utilized
No time-slips, Boards off, win light only ($20 to contest the track timing system and money will go to class winner if timing system is confirmed)
Schedule:
*Friday
Gates at 5pm, track hot from 6-10 pm.
Pizza in the pits at 9pm
*Saturday
Convoy style drive on Saturday morning with 2-3 Route Stops. Breakfast Stop will start the morning.
Gates open at Noon (all timeslips submitted by 430 pm)
Awards at 5pm
VEHICLE RULES FOR ALL CLASSES
*All entries must have current and legal vehicle registration and insurance with paperwork that matches the VIN and license plate on the car.
*No rental cars allowed.
*Vehicles in competition must have functional headlights, taillights, brake lights, HORN, and a rearview mirror. Trailer must have safety chains and working brake lights.
*Equipment rules apply to both the street and track portions of the event.
*All vehicles must meet NHRA safety rules for the e.t. and speed they are capable of, and drivers must be IHRA or NHRA licensed if required. The Circuit officials will not accept time slips that are quicker or faster than the car or driver’s tech’d legal e.t. and mph. Running quicker than the safety equipment or driver’s race license allows is cause for disqualification at the discretion of the race director.
*Engine Swaps are allowed as emergency replacement only. Racers Can Not swap engines to race.
*”Beam Break” is allowed and will result in a 20 Second ET.
*In Naturally Aspirated classes, the engine may not use power adders of any kind.
*In Power Adder classes, the engine must use a supercharger, turbocharger, nitrous oxide, or some combination thereof.
*It’s the responsibility of the racer to know and comply with the rules; passing tech inspection does not constitute a right to remain in competition if rules violations are discovered later.
*Vehicles with rule variations may be classified at the race director’s discretion.
*Entries that are disqualified from competition are not eligible for a refund of registration fees.
*Short Circuit will use a .400 Pro Tree for all classes.

NO SUPPORT VEHICLES (Not Road Trippers)
•A support vehicle is one used to supply, or with the intent of supplying, any rescue efforts or to carry anything for a competitor, including luggage, tools, fuel, repair parts or spares, and helpers or crew.
•All vehicles must be driven under their own power during the entire competition and may not be towed, trailered, pushed, or hauled at any time. The exception is in the event of an emergency in which a vehicle needs to be removed from the roadway or other dangerous situation, in which case assistance may be used to move the car a short distance to a safe area, for example, to the next highway exit.
•Violation of the support-vehicle and crew rules is cause for immediate disqualification at the race director’s discretion.
RV/Campers/Tow Rigs – Racers are allowed to pit with Tow Rigs, Trailers or RVs.
