Seward on Top, But the Title Fight Is Just Getting Started
Randy Seward leads the Drag & Drive World Champion points after Mega Week – Sick Summer and Big Sky could change everything.
The 2025 Drag and Drive World Champion, presented by Drag Drive Repeat and Summit Racing Equipment, have been updated following the chaos of Rocky Mountain Race Week Mega Week—and the pressure is building.
At the top sits Randy Seward, who has earned every available point so far this season, resetting class records at both Sick Week and Mega Week. The reigning 2024 8.50 Points Champion has delivered unmatched consistency and performance across multiple events, making a strong case for his first World Champion title.
Right behind him is Azeem Sheikh, with 70 points. His season has been equally impressive, scoring two class wins and resetting a Class Record at Mega Week.
2025 Drag & Drive World Champion Top 10 (Post-MEGA Week Standings)
Randy Seward – 74 pts
Azeem Sheikh – 70 pts
Jason King – 57 pts
Brad Francis – 56 pts
Brian Price – 55 pts
Bryant Goldstone – 55 pts
Liz Smith – 55 pts
Alan Harvey – 52 pts
Krista Long – 52 pts
Brad Thiessen – 43 pts
While a few racers competed in both groups during Mega Week, only their top performance counted toward championship points, as they only made ONE drive (even though the route was more than double that of a few other events….)
Two-time defending champion Bryant Goldstone remains in contention, despite a DNF at Sick Week. Known for finishing strong, Goldstone is confirmed for Hot Rod Drag Week, later this season, so don’t count him out. He’s one event away from reigniting his title run.
Next Week: Two Events. Two Paths. One Opportunity.
With Sick Summer and Big Sky Race Week both firing off next week, more than 500 racers are expected to hit the road — and with that, comes the potential for massive points movement. In fact, several of the names sitting just outside the top 10 are expected to double-up, with a chance to vault into title contention.
Each event presents an opportunity to score big.
The System That Rewards the Warriors
As outlined at DragDriveRepeat.com/worldchampion, points are earned by placing high in class, resetting records, and finishing multiple events throughout the year. With a focus on performance, consistency, and endurance, the title rewards racers who can hang tough from the first green light to the last street mile.
The Champion will be awarded at PRI 2025
The ultimate prize? The 2025 Drag & Drive World Champion title—officially awarded during the Drag & Drive Awards Ceremony at PRI 2025. Only one racer will hold the title of Champion after a season of grinding miles, record-setting passes, and class-level warfare.
