A Mystery Team Build from drag and drive royalty
200+ MPH Mystery
Matt Donovan is driving me nuts…..
A new project, a new channel and a video series for a serious new build, documented from day one, with one clear goal: go fast, do it right, and bring the right people along.
Known for Garbage That Barfed, Donovan is applying the same proven drag-and-drive mindset to a new chassis sourced from an estate sale. After buying two identical cars and tearing both down, the team chose the best foundation and built from there. But the only clue we get is that it was one of his dream cars…..what does that mean??? We can see the wheel in the second half of the video and it screams late 80s or early 90s GM to me. What does it say to you???
The team behind the project is a group of badasses. Bonnet Race Cars is handling chassis and cage work. A stick-shift transmission is part of the plan. Power will come with support from Steve Morris. Clark Rosenstengel brings a plethora of knowledge about fast cars. Toby will help with fabrication knowledge and work. Terry Donovan with logistics isn’t scared to drive hours on end to retrieve parts. PLUS, the whole process is documented by MKt Productions. The target is 200+ mph, with an emphasis on safety and repeatability—not one-pass glory.
This car is being built as a flexible platform, capable of running multiple engine combinations and shared by the entire team. NA Small or Big Blocks, Twin-Turbo Six Cylinders, whatever the plan needs, that’s what the guys will do. The mystery is intentional—Donovan leaves the identity of the engine and even the car itself open for viewers to figure out.
If you want to see a real race car built from the ground up—not just the highlight reel—this is where it starts.
Watch the video and subscribe to the new GTB Race Crew YouTube channel to follow the build from start to finish.
