Second Overall AND 8.50 Points Champion – Randy Seward (112 Points)
Randy Seward’s 2025 season was one of methodical execution. Finishing second overall with 112 points, Seward collected every available point from his three qualifying events, all while competing in some of the most competitive index classes in drag and drive.
He won Sick Week 2025 Street Race 275, lowering the class average record to 8.5068 for 37 points. At Rocky Mountain Race Week 2025, he captured Limited Street, resetting the class average record again with an 8.5112 average for another 37 points. Looking Ahead to 2026
As racers turn toward 2026, attention naturally centers on whether Goldstone can extend his run to a fourth consecutive championship. If challenged, it will likely come from competitors such as Randy Seward, whose 2025 campaign demonstrated how calculated preparation and event selection can fully exploit the points system.
At the same time, the Drag & Drive World Championship is evaluating adjustments in response to the continued rise of ⅛-mile events, evolving class structures, and the increasing difficulty of resetting established records. Any changes under consideration are aimed at improving competitiveness for ET-limited combinations while preserving the integrity of top-tier performance.
Further details on the 2026 Drag & Drive World Championship presented by Summit Racing will be announced in the coming months.
