Street Machine Eliminator Top 16 split by LESS THAN A TENTH

Street Machine Eliminator is TIGHT

Hot Rod Drag Week fast cars of Larry Larson, Ned Dunphy, Bryant Goldstone, Jeff Lutz and Joel Kerr are getting a ton of the attention at the moment, which is rightfully deserved. But, did you know we are looking at the TIGHTEST Street Machine Eliminator Class in HISTORY after Day One??

For just the third time in class history, a Perfect Pass of 10.000 was submitted. Ryan Majchrowski put his ‘67 Dodge Dart on the number at 10.000 at 134 mph to lock in the Top Spot leaving Day One. But, he has NO ROOM to breathe as the next 15 racers are no further than a tenth of a second from him. That means the Top Half of the SME Qualifier Field submitted a pass LOWER than 10.1xx.

Here is the Top Half of the SME Top 32 Field after Day One:

  1. Ryan Majchrowski - 10.000

  2. Walter Ziltener - 10.006

  3. Nicholas Wietor - 10.014

  4. Wender Gomes - 10.025

  5. Rick Callahan - 10.036

  6. Devin Noyes - 10.042

  7. Randall Hammons - 10.043

  8. Kim Caim - 10.056

  9. David Lipps - 10.057

  10. David Studly - 10.058

  11. KJ Kroeger - 10.075

  12. Brett Anttila - 10.086

  13. Dustin West - 10.088

  14. Keaton McGill - 10.093

  15. Joshua Felix - 10.095

  16. Forest Williams - 10.098

This is insane if you consider that these racers were given just TWO opportunities to run. A very few racers had three looks at the track but you could probably count it on one hand.

Races that are separated by just 0.001 that will be a blast to watch: #6 Devin Noyes at 10.042 and #7 Randall Hammons at 10.043, #8 Kim Caim at 10.056 and #9 David Lipps at 10.057 and #10 David Studly at 10.058.

The race may be tight in the Top Half, but keep in mind that racers need to back these up as we visit the next three tracks

The Bottom Half of the Top 32 is tough as well.

17. Jason Pollard - 10.12

18. Michael Machnik - 10.134

19. Jarrett Anderson - 10.137

20. Tom Dalessio - 10.138

21. Rick Doern - 10.148

22. Dante Delaney - 10.158

23. Geoff Dugopolski - 10.173

24. Kerry Williams - 10.216

25. Derek Toti - 10.252

26. Justin Roby - 10.332

27. William Gregory - 10.339

28. Michael Cavallaro - 10.345

29. Jeremy Lohman - 10.348

30. Frank Porco - 10.352

31. Mark Cryer - 10.357

32. Gary Brown - 10.357

Hot Rod Drag Week 2025 was the Quickest Bump Spot for the Class at 10.484 and we are on the cusp of seeing that fall even further.

As a reminder, the Street Machine Eliminator class at Hot Rod Drag Week is ET Limited to a 10.000 while also being a Qualifier for a 32 Car Bracket Race to end the week. Essentially, the main goal of the class is to “make the race”.

So, while you are watching the livestream, find a racer on this list and cheer them on.
